Pegi Smith -Contemporary Fine Artist
Pegi Smith (Peggy Smith) paints in acrylics on canvas from her home studio in the mountains near Ashland, Oregon. It’s not often that one finds an artist who paints from her dreams, yet Pegi’s visionary style distinguishes her paintings from all others, immersing the viewer in her personal—and very compelling— dream world.
Pegi’s paintings are very desirable and highly valued by the many art enthusiasts and spiritually-minded people who collect her work. She is consistently voted as one of Southern Oregon’s most beloved artists.
Pegi settled in Ashland in 2000 and began painting in 2006. She is now focused on painting, working in acrylic in warm, rich colors. She aims to summarize her own life perspectives in her paintings and hopes that her work will cause the viewer to immerse and then emerge with the intent of the design. Pegi’s work has been profiled in Ashland Magazine, Revels, and the Ashland Daily Tidings, among others.
